Greetings! I feel bad that I got so frustrated. It is hard when everything says share, share, share and when you listen to TV and they say be careful what you share - and that is your instinct anyway. Some of this was fun. I enjoy picture stuff. I wish what was recommended was easier to use and took less time. I wish my co worker would have had an easier time with pictures as well for she really enjoys them- but many times things wouldn't work for either of us. The library computers are protected from download and she did most of this on her time on library computers. I had it easier than she, but it is hard doing this many times on your own time. Fewer things with more time allotted would have been nicer for us backwards non computer people. I was ok with most. Hope everyone else had more fun. Happy New Year, Happy Spring, Happy Day! Super S

This tells you how much I use things - I already belonged. I think Arrowhead told us to join, that it was a good thing. Asked Linda NCLC to be my friend, and, I am sorry Linda, but I shall probably never go there again unless someone can really tell me that there is something there I WANT. Again at home I have no internet and coming to the library to do this stuff is not fun - especially on my own time. Did everything you told me to do. For me its just something else with lots of stuff. Give me another 40 hours in a week and 10 times the energy ...................... SuperS

Clouds are so interesting that it is a crime to call this a cloud. Oooops there I go again. Looked at Web OS - interesting - I can see this catching on in the future. Looked at metronetmili and saw 23 things as a link there. None of this stuff has helped my productivity but has helped make my library homepage a LITTLE more interesting. Watched the video. Looked at my money and put on blog. I won't bank online. didn't feed the pig. looked at fuel economy and gas buddy - gas buddy didn't really work for me. cell phones redundant. looked at craigslist ..... yard sale treasure map outdated. thrift store finder ha ha. coupons nothing i buy. u of m extension trying to figure out more. im a poor shopper so i have no tip except don't follow me. Anyway after protesting I thought I better at least look so I did. Went to Hulu and saw widgets and RSS but wasn't interested. Went to Joost but more boring. No interest what so ever and do I really have to do this??? Whine whine whine. I would never save something for viewing later (rather read a book again) and I saw nothing to recommend to my friend who basically agrees with me. I asked her over the counter.
People like these things I know or there wouldn't be so much of it. I just can't get excited enough to even have any feelings about it. SuperS

Looked at Visual Headlines- it is ok , too fancy for me, I guess. None of the rest of interest. Found two mashups I liked and put them on my blog - sudoku and jungle jam. Went to phreetings and put two cards on my blog eyes and monster cat. These are nice fun things to make stuff look nice. It was fun. SuperS

Put pix in flickr and made a set and went to smilebox and made the smallest scrapbook they had and probably embarrassed one of my friends. Who knows. Its in this blog called Middle Eastern Dance. It happened during National Library Week 2009. SuperS

I tooled screentoaster because I didn't have to download anything. Because this is not what I can do I found it somewhat boring. I did not want to waste my time on this. I am not creative enough to do anything and I have nothing to share. Maybe someone who is a good teacher and uses the mouse easily and wants to share something that they know will use it and share it with us. SuperS

So went around looking at pictures thinking it would be nice to do something different. Found lots of pix but couldnt figure out how to use these free pix - and I spent some time cause my friend has no pix cause she doesn't take them. Anyway gave that up and just used pix. Dont like to write. Too much back spacing to correct. Use flickr for library blogs. Mostly just post but did 'create' a slide show of Christmas '08. Nothing here cause spent too much time helping friend and on library stuff. SuperS

Checked out booktagger, found it boring. Daily Lit is ok. Book Calendar is now on my homepage. Bookmarked interesting. LitLovers I need more time. Reading Group Choices I need more time interesting. Wired for books I liked. Book Videos.tv is on my homepage. Tried Podio books which is not the kind of books I liked. Sent a book out on book crossing. Complete review didn't have authors I liked. Love storyline and sillybooks which I bookmarked for now. Facebook boors me. Sooo. I think the tools are mixed and everyone will find something different they will like. That is why there are so many choices. We offer a book club online that people like, offers many choices and also pulls the library into the club by offering only a few chapters of each book.

Online answer sites are easy if you're online. You don't have to go anywhere, do anything, or thing. Lots of how dos, do you knows,etc. Nothing interesting that I saw. Sometimes we answer questions like this, the older stuff, easily. We see that we go online after check library sources. I think people use these sites because they are too lazy to go anywhere or think for themselves (oooo - me bad). I thought Slam the Boards boring because it was slow, I didn't participate because I wasn't interested and it took more time than I have. I did not answer any questions because I did not have time to research any answer to make sure answer would be correct. SuperS

So I did what you said an visited one in each. Industry professionals - money, money. Did you realize how old some of those travel things are? The world is changing too fast to use old info in travel. I've belonged to Expedia since ......
Have travel stuff on my yahoo home page. etc. etc. my travel diaries are MINE. etc. etc. and who cares about eating fast food and doing the same old thing when you travel. Why travel? I did look at tube map ... memories. My favorite site isn't here & I can't remember what it is called. I'll have to call my sister. Best thing about travel sites are the pictures. I mean you can explore museums, the capes, castles, rivers, cities and towns, you can look at hotels you think you might stay in, you can get maps of where your going (although if you try to find Buhl they will tell you that your in Chisholm), and on and on. It is fun to explore the world. It whets the appetite! SuperS

Typed in 400 Jones Ave, Buhl Minnesota in search maps. It came up 400 Jones Ave, Chisholm MN 55719 At this Address: Buhl Public Library. On the map it said 400 Jones Ave, Chisholm MN. So map is wrong. Cant do it! We used to be in Cook Minnesota. Now we are in Chisholm. They must buy their information from where Polk City Directories started buying there info. So anyway if you want me to do a map you need to get the maps corrected. I'm tooooooo frustrated with them not allowing us to be in BUHL!!!! SuperS

Twitter is not for me. I do not have time nor inclination. I know, I know, I keep saying this but that is who I am. I am at the library on Sunday afternoon so that I can get things done and I just spent an hour looking at this thing. My twitter page says nothing about me because I do not want it to. Its no ones business. I am using twitter only once because you said I had to. I have no time to go back and look again at it. My twitter stage is deep dark and very very black. Twitter is great for people who like to tell everyone what they are doing and enjoy going out with groups of friends to visit. I like to stay home and read and and and. There you go.

Greetings everyone! I have just gone through reading 30. I even went back and looked up my account for delicous etc. And then I thought - why should I bother. I won't look at it again, too many codes and not enough interest. I use RSS alot. Yahoo home pages make it very easy. I have weather, calendars, news, etc. etc. I look every so often and think I am lucky I don't have more and so I have quit adding - ha, ha. Sorry about delicious. I am keeping all of my notes etc. and if I am ever online at home......

OK - - so this is what I feel about this thing in all its glory. If it isn't ok so be it! I went everywhere and looked or not. To begin:
Used Yahoo Alerts because that is where I go anyway. My homepage is there, I have an email there, why go elsewhere. I put a weather alert into my email because I am a weather junkie.
Google News - I already get several other news feeds in email and yahoo. Why more?
Search Wiki - Again - the fun of leaving it open ended is finding things you are not looking for. This is, seems to me, another way of closing your mind.
Web History - If you set things up the right way you are bookmarking what you are interested in anyway. I don't use google that much and the history would be patron oriented, so redundant to me.
GMail - I already have three email accounts - one for work, one for me, and one for family. I refuse to get another. I don't keep up with what I have.
Calendar - I have calendar on my blog and on my homepage already that I never look at. Why have another one.
Sites - I did this with Yahoo as much as I was willing to share.
Goog-411 - I made a note of this. I will use it if I ever need to. Maybe.
So there you are ... I guess you could say there was not much interest on my part.

Thing 28 ended up being easy and fun for me. I chose MyYahoo because I have an email address there and I knew there was something there for I had deleted junk there earlier ... but now!! I have put all kinds of stuff on there and shall probably do more. What I really like is that I put this blog there! Wee! (at least thats how I felt when I did so). I probably won't use it much now but later - it is there and waiting for me. SuperS

Well - I almost forgot that we are supposed to write about stuff. My url is incorrect so nobody can see me at this time (3/17/09) except NCLC. I don't mind ... is that bad? I changed the color, added a picture (to go with my avatar?), and did a small change to my avatar (the cat is now small). Otherwise I am happy with the way things are ( I was happy with the way things were). I have not played with this blog at all ... I have three others that I play with sometimes, and I am really behind with those. Please stay with me. SuperS
